# Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the provision of event catering services by Bite Me (Scot) Ltd ("we", "us", "our") to event organisers, clients, and traders ("you", "your").

## 1\. Services

We provide event catering services including food truck hire, pop-up bar hire, coffee trailer hire, and full-service event catering supply through our own units and our managed network of traders. All services are subject to availability and confirmation in writing.

## 2\. Bookings & Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when we issue written confirmation (via email) and any required deposit has been received. We reserve the right to decline bookings at our discretion. Event dates are held provisionally for 14 days pending confirmation.

## 3\. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in GBP and are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. Quotes are valid for 30 days from issue. Payment terms are specified in each individual booking confirmation. Late payments may incur reasonable interest charges.

## 4\. Cancellation

Cancellations must be made in writing. The following cancellation terms apply unless otherwise agreed:

-   More than 60 days before event: Full refund of any deposit paid
-   30–60 days before event: 50% of the agreed fee is payable
-   Less than 30 days before event: 100% of the agreed fee is payable

We reserve the right to cancel in the event of circumstances beyond our reasonable control (force majeure), in which case a full refund will be issued.

## 5\. Event Organiser Responsibilities

The event organiser is responsible for:

-   Providing accurate event information including date, location, and expected attendance
-   Ensuring adequate vehicle access for our units to the agreed pitch locations
-   Obtaining any required event licences and permissions (unless agreed otherwise in writing)
-   Ensuring a safe and level surface for unit setup

## 6\. Liability & Insurance

We maintain comprehensive public liability insurance and employers' liability insurance. Copies are available on request. Our liability is limited to the value of the booking. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the provision of our services.

## 7\. Food Safety & Compliance

All our units operate under current food hygiene certification. All traders in our network are vetted for food safety compliance. We adhere to all relevant UK food safety legislation. Allergen information is available for all menu items on request.

## 8\. Licensing

Where our services include the sale of alcohol, we ensure full compliance with the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005. We can operate under event premises licences or apply for occasional licences as required. Responsibility for the event premises licence rests with the event organiser unless otherwise agreed.

## 9\. Weather & Force Majeure

Our units are designed to operate in all weather conditions. However, in cases of extreme weather or circumstances beyond our control that make safe operation impossible, we reserve the right to modify or withdraw services. In such cases, we will work with the event organiser to find a reasonable solution.

## 10\. Governing Law

These terms are governed by Scots law. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
